Why would seniors want to live here when they physically can no longer recreate outdoors?
People live here for many reasons. They have relatives, businesses, friends and support networks in their long time home, Summit County. Recreation takes many forms as we age, such as enjoying a mountain view or taking a walk or ride in their neighborhood.
Leaving your community contributes to decline mental well being.

While there is a percentage of the population who cannot tolerate high altitude, not everyone, even seniors, requires supplemental oxygen. And new technologies have made it possible to build-in compensations for lower oxygen concentrations in new construction at more reasonable costs.

The Frisco community must recognize how having a senior community adjacent to town boundaries will make it possible for their senior citizens to remain in the community.
How could seniors afford the cost of senior care?

We expect that some percentage of the residences will be dedicated to those who qualify for Medicaid.
When the Lake Hill senior neighborhood is up and running, SIS intends to create a foundation to assist with the costs for private pay residents.
